Nope, not at all.....no mixing and no confusion. I will be at both events.....attending NAVG and organizing RMAR.

Several have inquired about dirt riding at the NAVG and this will be a great opportunity for 'Newbies to Dirt' to get their feet wet and Wide Load is just the guy to run off a clinic.

On the other hand, I am sure there will be many showing up that are veteran dirt riders and much of the surrounding area around Montrose offers a lot of variety.

Regardless, a Dirt Riding Clinic will be fun for anyone interested. Heck, I am always looking for opportunities to hone my own skills.

V Mike,
I have never been to your area and have always wanted to. This will be great!

This may work out great for me. My family was considering a road trip this summer and we may be able to swing this.

I for one would LOVE to attend an off-road clinic.

Question the 4 corners

What about a route to the 4 corners ?
I'm considering riding the distance from my part of the world; I wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity to knock off a couple more states ... Utah, Arizona, New Mexico as well as Colorado.
... dreaming first .... then planning.

There will most likely be a ride to Durango & 4 corners is about 85 miles from there. Look at the first route in reply #6.

I just google mapped it and it is right at 370 miles, round trip....Silverton going down and Telluride coming back. 370 miles is a pretty good ride, but not bad. When riding through the mountains, I have stayed with the formula of 50 miles to the hour, which includes short stops for pictures, etc. Anyone wanting to do this ride, I would allow 7-8 hours of riding, plus lunch and time at 4-corners.
